A Spanish Legend
Miguel Pacheco was born on September 5, 1931 in Spain. He was a professional racing cyclist who competed from 1954 to 1965. During his career, he won the Vuelta a España in 1959 and was the first Spanish cyclist to win a Grand Tour. He also won the Tour of Catalonia in 1957 and the Tour of the Basque Country in 1958.
After retiring from cycling, Pacheco worked as a coach and directeur sportif. He died on February 17, 2018 at the age of 86.
